Health Alert: Confirmed Case of Measles, February 22, 2026 [PDF, 190.09 KB]
If you suspect your patient has measles, immediately mask and isolate the patient per airborne precautions and check their immunization status. Then call 1-866-PUB-HLTH (1-866-782-4584) for further instructions.
Questions about measles testing through the state public health lab should also be directed to 1-866-PUB-HLTH (1-866-782-4584).

Disease Reporting
SendSS is an Electronic Reporting system for Notifiable Diseases. All Georgia physicians, laboratories and other health care providers are required to report patients diagnosed with one of the state’s notifiable diseases. Both lab-confirmed AND clinical diagnoses are reportable by law. SENDSS is a much quicker alternative to Form 3095 Notifiable Disease Report Form.
