County Environmental Health teams inspect food service establishments periodically to minimize the potential for food-borne illnesses. Our Environmental Health specialists permit food service facilities as well as educate and train food service operators, managers, and employees. Inspection reports are posted at restaurants for patrons and the general public to view and can be found online.

Visit the State of Georgia – Health Inspections page to find a restaurant’s inspection report and score. You can search by ZIP code, name, city, county, or dates.

Food Service Program

All food service establishments are required to have a food service permit issued by the local health department.  Environmental Health specialists conduct plan reviews for new establishments, ownership changes, and remodels to ensure compliance with state food service rules and regulations prior to permitting.
